Nice to meet you! My name is Jasmine Clark and I'm a copywriter, content writer, graphic designer, and content strategist from North Carolina. I wanted to share a lot about myself so you can thoroughly get to know me.

My story

​

Freelance writing is something I gradually started doing more and more, so I don't have one clear starting point.

​

I first became interested in freelance writing in 2017, but I was only doing it sporadically. Over a few years, I did small writing and proofreading projects on Upwork, volunteered to write email newsletters for The Starfish Foundation, and completed a 3-month Acadium apprenticeship. At the same time, I taught English online to Chinese children and instructed young children at Kumon Math and Reading Center. Tutoring was my main job, not writing.

Starting in Fall 2020, I began putting more time into freelance writing. Then my other jobs ended. December 2020 was my last month at Kumon, and March 2021 was my last month teaching online ESL. The less I worked on other jobs, the more I focused on freelance writing. Also in March 2021, I started another Acadium apprenticeship.

​

Because freelance writing became my only job, I was able to put even more time into it. That's why 2021 was the year my writing skills rapidly increased. I became Top Rated on Upwork and began narrowing down who my ideal clients were. In 2022, I became Top Rated Plus and continued to learn and grow my writing skills.

​

I used to doubt I could ever create a serious career in freelance writing -- that's why I did it sporadically. Today, I'm far beyond where I used to be. I'm grateful for all the amazing clients I've met and I'm excited about where my freelancing will go in the future. I've worked with wonderful people, so when I say I'm grateful, I mean it.

More about me

I love to be creative even aside from my freelance work. In my spare time, I write stories for comics/manga. I also love watching TV shows and movies because that's the main way I get inspiration for my own stories.

​

I'm working on creating my own blog about stress relief and sleep. I love writing about these topics, and I've written about them for clients several times. Now I'm looking forward to having my own personal space where I can write about these topics in my style.

​

Currently, I'm a volunteer for ENGin, an organization that matches fluent English speakers with Ukrainian teens and young adults for online English conversation practice. I hope you take a moment to check out this awesome organization that's doing so much to help Ukrainians.

I'm a Christian. Jesus is #1 in my life. I believe He is the ultimate example of what love is.
